The role We are seeking a highly skilled Cypress Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for modern web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing, and CI/CD integration, with a focus on delivering high-quality software through automation-first testing practices. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using Cypress. Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test suites. Automate API validation and backend service testing. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution. Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and automation documentation. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, defect triage, and retrospectives. Continuously improve automation frameworks, coding standards, and testing best practices. Support release validation and production readiness activities. Key Skills/Knowledge Strong hands-on experience with Cypress Automation Framework Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript Experience in UI and End-to-End (E2E) testing API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools Test automation framework design and maintenance Experience with Git/GitHub and version control practices Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies Familiarity with SQL and database validation Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or Jest Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Experience in BFSI, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets domains Performance and accessibility testing knowledge Rewards
