Broad Outline of the Role
The role owns the overall governance and enterprise design of solution fitment with customer requirements. As a Large Deal Architect you will oversee fitment of technical solution design, service design, commercial model and contractual framework for complex solutions in the respective areas of network, SDWAN, cloud & security, unified collaboration, mobility & IoT and other domains. The goal is to align with customer requirements, internal readiness and market competitiveness, and to lead large RFPs while contributing to end‑to‑end service models across delivery and assurance cycles.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering; 12-15 years of relevant experience.
Other Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to translate customer and business requirements into service offerings.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, business concepts, processes and requirements.
- Experience in creating value-stream maps, articulating the value proposition and storytelling the solution.
- Driving creative, logical solutions and assisting in the presentation of findings and recommendations to clients.
- Industry domain knowledge of key technology and industry trends.
- Experience delivering and managing infrastructure solutions for customers.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver tailored presentations to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an adviser on solutions design, development, and implementation requirements to address business needs.
- Analyze the functionality and constraints of recommended solution across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.
- Lead the customer presentation in RFPs and proactively engage to ensure crisp messaging and a well‑articulated value proposition.
- Work with sales, product, engineering, commercial, service delivery, and assurance teams to jointly prepare responses to customer requirements.
- Provide integrated service design across multiple products to meet client requirements.
- Provide expertise to internal teams and external vendors to ensure effective delivery of the defined solution.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and decisions throughout the lifecycle (pre-sales, delivery, support).
- Analyze customer business complexities, challenges, and strategies to drive value from solutions.
- Develop deal‑specific service pricing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in contractual discussions pertaining to service design.
- Conduct design workshops and capture the service scope to hand over for enablement.
- Guide other architects within the team and adapt communications to conclude technical scope discussions with partners, resulting in common agreements.
- Nurture and learn upcoming technologies for evolving services.
