Purpose of your Role

This role is part of overlay sales team responsible for identifying, creating and driving opportunities for TCL’s Communications Platform as a Service offerings, and the overall performance of the business, targeting the Enterprise and Cloud Application Service Provider (CASP) segments in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the sales overlay for CPaaS Solutions opportunities, working with account teams across all routes to market (Enterprise and CASP).
  • Responsible for achievement of order bookings, lead representative for the services in the region.
  • Support qualified sales opportunities through calls, presentations, negotiation, bid and proposal development, deal structuring.
  • Engage product teams to define and support non‑standard requirements for deals and longer‑term roadmap.
  • Identify needs for partner services and recruit partners with competitive offerings to augment our portfolio.
  • Maintain close relationships with major vendor/partners in the region.
  • Track and report sales opportunity pipeline to facilitate accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and localize sales and training materials.
  • Enable sales teams on service offerings, value proposition and process.
  • Define and execute business development and lead generation activities, coordinating with marketing, sales management and other functions.
  • Create and execute customer‑specific account plans with the Account Team, conducting regular reviews and growing business with major customers.
  • Report market dynamics and product requirements to product managers for strategy, pricing, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Represent Tata Communications at industry and customer events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8‑10 years in collaboration sales to large enterprise, CASP or Service Provider.
  • Experience with major vendors, cloud application service providers or SPs.
  • Understanding of: the CPaaS market, AI/Automation/APIs in cloud and digital transformation, cloud transformation, CASP business models, voice and messaging markets.
  • Knowledge of major vendors and competitors, CPaaS players, CASPs.
  • Experience in large managed services and SaaS sales, commercial models, pricing models, deal financials, margin analysis.
  • Trade‑off management between cost, SLA, SOW in complex deals.
  • Large deal management for direct and partner deals and consultative selling to senior leadership/CxO levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills.
  • Pragmatic, hands‑on, creative, flexible, “outside the box” mindset.
  • Strong planning and priority‑setting abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven through others.
  • Influence and acceptance in sensitive situations.
  • Thrives in high‑growth, fast‑paced, demanding environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and sales‑related software (Salesforce.com highly desirable).
  • Additional experience in voice and messaging services highly desirable.
