Key Responsibilities Van Sales:

  • Develop the performance of the van sales operation through increased business across the entire Tasty Foods range in new and existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strategic business partnerships with small locally owned business outlets, ensuring the development of long-term business and the expansion of sales opportunities for the company’s products.
  • Provide product guidance and negotiate pricing and delivery requirements with customers in conjunction with existing arrangements for the van sales function.
  • Advise the Van Sales Team Lead of any product areas or strategies that offer effective sales opportunities.
  • Stock must be rotated daily to ensure maximum shelf life to customers and loaded onto your vehicle in an orderly fashion.
  • Contribute to new product development through market awareness, customer care, and the company’s approach to quality through the presentation of customer feedback and market research.
  • Deliver and sell products in a timely and accurate manner, always updating and keeping documentation correct.
  • Adhere to Company Vehicle Policy and Accident report procedures, including completion and reporting of weekly vehicle and temperature checks.
  • Complete your daily cash sheet, date it, and ensure it is placed in the tin daily. All extra payments must be noted.
  • Dockets must be clearly marked paid or signed if they are credit documents. All pink dockets must be invoiced through the handheld upon return to factory if not done while on the run.
  • Pink dockets must also be correctly noted on your daily cash sheet.
  • Money must be reconciled and correct daily; all shortages will be deducted from salary.
  • Your cash and paperwork must be separated and clearly marked from other sales personnel.
  • The company returns policy must always be adhered to.
  • Van Reconciliations must be completed accurately.
