North Valley Vineyards & La Biblioteca Wine are looking for an experienced & motivated wine sales professional to join our team during this year’s busy season. This part-time, seasonal role would take course over the remaining Summer months through the busy Fall season (August-November). We’re looking for someone who has availability for a few shifts throughout the month, to offer support on weekends and during events. This will be an ideal role for a seasoned wine salesperson who is interested in picking up some extra shifts. We believe in rewarding sales acumen with highly competitive hourly pay, bonus commissions on bottle sales and wine club signups plus gratuities. This role presents a unique opportunity to work with two distinctive wine brands with shared ownership. Our tasting rooms are centrally located in Downtown Dundee, Oregon.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Convey THE NORTH VALLEY / LA BIBLIOTECA Brand Stories with a focus on bottle sales and wine club signups
• Provide a tireless brand of high-level, educational customer service to all visitors
• Establish relationships with clientele to help maintain referrals and repeat business
• Maintain a friendly, warm and clean tasting room environment
• Contributes to our sales culture to grow the business and meet wine club conversion goals
• Promote and assist with winery and club events in Wine Country and Portland
• Assist with inventory and restocking
• Curate and maintain relationships with hospitality referral sources
• Available to work varied hours; must be available weekends and holidays

KNOWLEDGE BASE

• Knowledgeable on Willamette Valley wines, region, and wine production
• Knowledge of local lodging, restaurants, and tourism attractions
• Familiarity /experience with Operating POS and reservation systems (WineDirect, Commerce7, and Tock preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5+ YEARS of experience in fine wine and/or tasting room sales, hospitality, fine dining or customer service-oriented sales position preferred.
• Passion for wine and a willingness to learn more
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable, dependable, professional
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time and lift upwards of 40lbs
• Have or willing to obtain OLCC Service Permit.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Dundee, OR and occasional offsite locations in greater Portland metro
• Can work independently as well as a part of a team

COMPENSATION

We recognize the importance of our team and we want to invest in and reward expertise. Our part-time Hospitality Associate compensation package includes a competitive hourly wage ($20 hourly) PLUS tips, wine club acquisition bonuses, sales volume commissions, and employee wine discount.
