NW Wine Company is hiring a Tasting Room Lead / Club Coordinator to support the DTC operations for a new multi-brand tasting room concept opening this Summer. Under the direction of the Head of Brands & Hospitality, the Tasting Room Lead / Club Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the tasting room, from creating positive customer interactions and cultivating personal experiences to assisting with the Wine Club and coordinating shipping facilitation. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service and sales skills as well as a true passion for wine. This full-time role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays.
Job Description
- Provide on-the-floor leadership to maintain the flow of operations in all areas of the tasting room
- Create memorable guest experiences to maintain a reputation for excellence
- Resolve guest concerns/complaints using good judgment and tact while adhering to brand guidelines
- Support customers with questions and requests while maintaining high hospitality standards
- Oversee Club Member requests and correspondence through thoughtful, engaged communication
- Process Wine Club Allocations and ensure smooth delivery of wines to Members
- Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures
- Drive customer engagement through timely follow up procedures
- Partner with the Head of Brands & Hospitality and the Digital Marketing Manager to communicate on-site events, tastings, and promotions
- Assist in the planning and execution of both on and off site events
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hospitality sales experience in a tasting room, hotel, restaurant, or retail setting; wine industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of the Oregon wine industry, including geography, history, and production techniques, is highly desirable. Sommelier/WSET/SWE certifications are a plus
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of wine industry software Commerce7, Wineshipping, and Tock a plus
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Proven success in a collaborative, high-paced environment
- Ability to lift 50lb and remain standing for extended periods of time
