We have an exciting opportunity for a Host to join the Argyle DTC team! Reporting to the tasting room manager, this role is responsible as the first and last person our guests see. The Tasting Room Host is an integral part of our team, helping enable world‑class customer service to all guests. This role is based in Dundee, Oregon and is a temporary, part‑time hourly position, working 24 hrs a week, Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing role; preference given to those with experience in wineries, restaurants, retail or as an administrative assistant.
  • Experience with reservation software/table management software.
  • Hospitality Certificate, wine credential, or other post‑high school educational pursuit.
  • Knowledge of and deep passion for wine and the wine industry.
  • Understanding of world‑class service and hospitality standards.
  • Knowledge of Willamette Valley including other wineries, restaurants, hotels and historical sites.
  • Strong work ethic in an independent environment while displaying attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Team collaborator.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests upon arrival in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Consistently demonstrate best‑in‑class customer service skills and poise & tact while working with the public.
  • Manage the table seating and assignment of wine ambassadors to guests.
  • Answer phone and email reservation inquiries and assist guests with scheduling.
  • Assist guests in restaurant and lodging recommendations.
  • Work cross‑functionally with the guest services team.
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions.
  • Participate and assist with private group tastings and events at the winery.
  • Help bus and polish glass, pack wine orders, and assist in various side‑work tasks.
  • Help clear and set tables as needed.
  • Engage in proactive teamwork with all members of the Tasting Room team.
