We are looking for a driven and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Woodfalls, part of the Taste the World Hospitality Group. Set within a hotel, pub and dining environment, this role is perfect for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in delivering high-quality, flavour-led dishes. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the team, maintaining standards, and contributing to a food offering that reflects our passion for quality, creativity and consistency. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food
- Oversee food preparation and service to ensure standards are met at all times
- Maintain excellent presentation and attention to detail across all dishes
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards
- Work closely with front of house teams to deliver a smooth and efficient service
- Manage stock, ordering and cost control, with a focus on reducing waste
- Assist in training and developing junior team members
- Contribute to menu development with fresh, seasonal and creative ideas
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or senior chef position within a busy kitchen
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality ingredients and execution
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience in high-volume service across restaurant, pub or hotel environments
- Confident leadership and team management skills
- Organised, reliable and able to perform under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences
