We are recruiting a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a beautiful independent coastal hotel on Cornwall's stunning Roseland Peninsula, offering a rare opportunity to shape and build a food offering with genuine creative freedom.

As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen operation, leading a small team while driving standards, creativity, and consistency across all services. This role would suit either an experienced Head Chef looking for a fresh challenge or a strong Sous Chef ready to step into their first Head Chef position within a supportive environment. You will need to be confident working in a hands-on setting, comfortable leading from the front, and passionate about creating seasonal dishes that reflect the incredible surroundings and local produce available.

Duties:

  • Create and develop seasonal, produce-led menus
  • Lead all aspects of the kitchen operation
  • Manage supplier relationships and ordering
  • Oversee breakfast, dinner, terrace, and event service
  • Maintain strong GP, stock control, and kitchen efficiency
  • Ensure excellent hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Train, motivate, and support the kitchen team
  • Contribute to the growth and reputation of the restaurant
