We are recruiting a Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a highly successful food-led pub on the Norfolk coast, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to take on a key role within a busy and well-established fresh food operation.

Serving up to 150 covers, the kitchen operates at a consistently high volume throughout the year, with particularly busy periods during the holiday season.

The focus is on fresh, quality ingredients and well-executed food, with a strong team already in place.

It's an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef who enjoys being hands-on while also taking responsibility for the wider running of the kitchen.

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, leading the brigade during service and maintaining consistently high standards across food quality, preparation and presentation.

As Sous Chef you will:
Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead the brigade during busy services
Take responsibility for food quality, consistency and presentation
Ensure all sections are prepared and ready for service
Help manage ordering, stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health and safety
Train, support and motivate junior members of the team
Step up and take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step, with a background in a busy, fresh food-led kitchen.

You'll be confident leading a team, comfortable working at pace and have the organisation and discipline required to maintain standards during busy services.
