Overview

We’re looking for a talented Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a much-loved countryside pub in a beautiful part of Suffolk – a destination known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality modern British food and dedication to fresh, seasonal produce.

This is an exciting opportunity to take creative control of a respected food-led pub, shaping menus that celebrate local suppliers and classic flavours with a refined, modern edge.

The property has recently been refurbished to an excellent standard throughout and you will be working in a hi-spec kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and you will be managing and motivating a professional brigade, ensuring that ongoing training and development is offered to all members of the team
  • Have solid man management and kitchen management skills along with a stable background
  • Be a creative and talented Chef with exceptionally high standards who can lead their team by example and inspire them
  • Have the passion and ability to maintain an exceptional standard of cuisine and the right candidate will ideally be experienced in good fresh food kitchens

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Proven Head Chef or ambitious Senior Sous ready to step up, bringing energy, leadership and a love for honest, flavour-driven cooking
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of the kitchen with strong leadership and development mindset
  • Solid man management and kitchen management skills and a stable background
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cuisine and experience in fresh, good-quality food kitchens is preferred
