Lead and coordinate patient safety processes, providing expert clinical advice and strategic leadership. Oversee the development and continuous improvement of safety practices, policies, and systems to support effective risk management and high-quality care across the organisation.

The Role

  • Coordinate the delivery of the Patient Safety clinical stream processes within AT including the development and implementation of safety systems in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
  • Provide expert clinical advice, leadership, support and recommendations to the Director - Clinical Services and AT Executive in relation to the Patient Safety related practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and review of Patient Safety related clinical practices, policies, and procedures across the organisation to facilitate the planning of a proactive, integrated, and innovative approach to patient/client safety, risk management and quality improvement.

You will need

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ambulance specific quality improvement processes and concepts of best practice in contemporary patient safety management systems including understanding and experience in patient information and data protection principles.
  • Broad clinical and operational experience within a complex health care environment encompassing critical care, with demonstrated understanding of quality assurance processes within the Ambulance service context to achieve improved patient safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate staff and patient incidents, including analysing data, providing reports and progress outcomes, and managing clinical audits and reviews and compliance systems for patient safety.

Details of appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Applications may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies for a period of twelve months from the date of publication.

Salary: $118,297 to $125,543 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
