About the Role
Located in Cambridge, Southern Tasmania, this fixed term fullâtime Technician position within the Auto Electrical unit offers the opportunity to undertake automotive electrical work, maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance of the operational and support vehicle fleet, including heavy diesel trucks, mobile plant and machinery, and emergency service vehicles. The role involves installation, commissioning and decommissioning of operational and support vehicles.
Duties
- Assist with design, build, maintenance and repairs of vehicle electrical systems
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Use tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop systems safely
- Follow workplace safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Qualifications
- Qualified auto electrician or with a comparable qualification
- Experience with heavy diesel and machinery
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Forklift licence (or willing to obtain) and Medium/Heavy Vehicle Licence (or willing to obtain) are desirable
