Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 3-4 $80,524 to $109,175 pro rata, per annum.

Location: The Registered Nurse - Community:

  • Consistent with ongoing experience strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals within the defined community practice area.

The Team: Join our dedicated nursing team as a Community Registered Nurse and make a meaningful difference in patient care across our community. Beaconsfield District Health Service is a rural multipurpose service providing:

  • Sub-acute and inpatient care
  • Residential aged care
  • Community nursing services
  • Allied health and community support programs

Our community nursing team works closely with the hospital, GP services and local providers to support people to remain safely in their homes and reduce avoidable hospital admissions.

The Role: Beaconsfield District Health Service is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse - community to join our rural multidisciplinary team. The role provides community based nursing care to clients living in Beaconsfield and surrounding areas, supporting individuals to maintain independence and wellbeing in their own homes.

You will need:

  • Provide wound care, medication management and chronic disease support post acute care following hospital discharge.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting.

Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
  • Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
  • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%.

Benefits available to eligible candidates:

  • Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
