We are looking for a Call Handler / Emergency Response Specialist to provide real-time guidance and support to autonomous vehicles (AVs) in complex driving scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Guide AVs through challenging situations, such as blocked streets, narrow lanes, and private driveways, ensuring efficient and safe navigation.
  • Collaborate with AVs to optimise driving paths, considering factors like lane closures and traffic conditions.
  • Monitor AV behaviour and intervene to prioritise safety and avoid potential hazards.
  • Maintain effective communication with AVs to ensure seamless cooperation and timely responses.
  • Adapt to dynamic road conditions and rapidly address unexpected challenges.
  • Contribute to the improvement of AV technology by analysing past performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and certifications.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in emergency telecommunications or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s licence with 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
  • Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Strong customer service, de‑escalation, communication, and interpersonal skills with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and processes; ability to self‑correct and learn from mistakes.
  • Maintenance of safety compliance certifications.
  • Ability to stay focused and seated for multiple hours, multitask in dynamic situations, and support a 24/7 operation including holidays.

Basic Requirements

  • Successful background check, drug test, and physical examination.
