London (hybrid working in office 2 days in central London)About the Role: As a General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the UK country team to grow the market, manage the country P&L, and hit targets for net revenue and contribution margin. You will work closely with cross functional teams in setting a market strategy, alongside efficient tactical and operational plans to meet commercial goals, and produce strong propositions for both customers and taskers.
What You'll Work On: P&L responsibility for the UK businessShape the UK strategy to deliver core commercial goals including revenue and contribution marginAccountable for both sides of the marketplace: generating demand as well as ensuring strong supply health and task fulfilmentResponsible for value propositions on both sides of the marketplaceDirectly manage the UK team that covers marketing, partnerships and tasker operationsChampion the UK business internally and as a general manager collaborate across functions to identify and bring to life opportunities that drive UK market growth.
Own local go-to-market strategy, including the development of city-specific GTM strategies and localisation of Taskrabbit's offering as relevantDrive local marketing ideas, initiatives, and channels to increase brand awareness, in partnership with the global marketing teamIdentify and pursue potential external partners to help grow the UK business, in collaboration with the global partnerships teamRequirements8-10+ years of experience in driving commercial growth of a business.
Any experience in marketing, business development, and/or P&L management is a plusDemonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams, capable of overseeing multiple people across different functions and levels of seniorityComfortable working heavily with data, and operating at a fast pace in an entrepreneurial environment.
Experience working in a startup is a plus, especially a marketplace platformExcellent communication and relationship building skills, and comfortable presenting to large groups regularlyAn exceptional ability to balance creative thinking with strong business judgment and analytical skills Problem-solving abilities in both data-rich and data-poor environments; ability to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher-level strategyA natural inclination to take initiative and ownership, with the ability to independently navigate ambiguous situations and balance multiple prioritiesRole includes some travel within the UK and occasional travel to the US.Ideal (Nice to have skills)An understanding of the dynamics underlying a two-sided marketplaceExperience working for a global brandCompensation & Benefits: At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable.
Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.
The base pay range for this position is 89,000-115,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits.
