Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Site Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to lead our Engineering team and ensure all production equipment and site infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This role is hands-on, requiring strong technical ability and excellent organizational skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Ensure all working procedures and legislative compliance are adhered to
- Ensure all production equipment is adequately maintained and fit for purpose
- Manage and maintain a regular service checklist for all plant and equipment
- Develop and implement a robust planned preventative maintenance program
- Maintain a critical spares stock for all plant and equipment
- Respond to and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner
- Identify and recommend improvements to machine output and reliability
- Oversee general maintenance and upkeep of the site
- Provide technical support to Senior Managers
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations or professional equivalent i.e. Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671), City & Guilds 2382-15.
- Please note: The company is willing to support the successful candidate in gaining the 18th Edition qualification following successful completion of the company probation period.
- Proven experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
