Mechanical Electrical Site Engineer in Huddersfield

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday:7:30am 5:00pm
• Friday:7:30am 3:00pm

Overview:

We are seeking a skilledSite Mechanical / Electrical Engineerto lead our Engineering team and ensure all production equipment and site infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This role is hands-on, requiring strong technical ability and excellent organizational skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure all working procedures and legislative compliance are adhered to
• Ensure all production equipment is adequately maintained and fit for purpose
• Manage and maintain a regular service checklist for all plant and equipment
• Develop and implement a robust planned preventative maintenance program
• Maintain a critical spares stock for all plant and equipment
• Respond to and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner
• Identify and recommend improvements to machine output and reliability
• Oversee general maintenance and upkeep of the site
• Provide technical support to Senior Managers
• Carry out other reasonable duties as required

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations or professional equivalent i.e. Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671) , City & Guilds 2382-15 .Please note: The company is willing to support the successful candidate in gaining the 18th Edition qualification following successful completion of the company probation period.

• Proven experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
