We are currently recruiting for a Battery Processing Operator to join our growing recycling and materials recovery operation in Dunfermline. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced industrial environment, focused on the safe handling, dismantling, and processing of various battery types. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are processed efficiently while maintaining strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and identify different battery types
- Safely dismantle and process batteries according to company procedures
- Operate processing machinery and hand tools
- Monitor material quality and separate components for recycling
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, or industrial work preferred
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/industrial setting
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
