Multi Skilled Engineer
Β£21.26 per hour
48 hours per week – 5 days over 7
Keighley & Grassington – across both sites
Permanent contract after 12 weeks, once probation is passed
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment, working across the Keighley and Grassington sites.
Skills & Experience Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
NVQ Level 3 / ONC / BTEC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Multi-skilled with strong electrical knowledge
Strong PLC fault-finding, repair and programming skills
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or process environment
Experience with automated electro/mechanical manufacturing equipment
Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and instrumentation
5 years' experience in manufacturing, packaging or processing
Food industry experience would be a bonus
Experience with facilities plant, boilers/steam or refrigeration would be an advantage
Familiar with CMMS
Experience of 5S, LEAN and TPM would be ideal
Good understanding of HACCP principles
Full driving licence and own transport
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
Diagnose and repair equipment faults promptly
Maintain and improve plant, machinery and services
Support projects to improve machine efficiency and output
Install and commission new equipment when required
Ensure all work complies with food safety and H&S standards
Complete maintenance records, paperwork and use engineering systems effectively
