We are seeking skilled and reliable Shunter Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidates will be responsible for manoeuvring heavy goods vehicles within our premises and on the road, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers, containers and deliveries. This role is vital in maintaining smooth operations across our distribution centre and customer network, requiring a professional approach and excellent driving skills. Prior experience mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Shunting trailers between bays and yard locations
- Moving vehicles using tug units and tractor units
- Completing vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring safe and efficient yard and road operations
- Complying with driver hours, tachograph and working time rules
- Maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times
Requirements:
- Hold a valid Class 1 Licence
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card (Digi Card)
- No more than 6 points for insurance purposes
- No DD, IN, DR or TT endorsements will be accepted for insurance purposes
