Our Client in the Wigan area is looking for Production Operatives to work in a busy manufacturing environment.
Duties:
- Selection, weighing & mixing of ingredients for further processing
- Cleaning of mixers & hoppers before and after each batch
- Ensuring the workplace is clean, safe & tidy
- Accurate recording of products produced for shift traceability
- Packing products (non-food) in a timely manner
- Mixing & weighing products
- Manual handling of boxes up to 25kg
- General warehouse work as required
The role involves working with powder coating and can get quite dusty (PPE provided).
Personal Requirements:
- Forklift licence desirable although training will be provided to successful candidates.
- Previous experience of working 6-2, 2-10 & 10-6 shift pattern in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Prior experience in a similar manufacturing position is essential.
- Recognised qualification in Maths & English is required.
- Previous warehouse & manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
Training shift pattern: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
Shift patterns:
- 6:00am - 2:15pm
- 1:45pm - 10:00pm
These hours include:
- A 15-minute paid handover
- A 15-minute paid rest break
- A 30-minute paid lunch break
Pay rate: £12.71ph increasing after 12 weeks to £13.71
The position begins as a temporary assignment, with the possibility of longer-term employment.
