We are seeking a proactive and organised Customer Facing Logistics to join a busy transport and logistics operation in Wigan. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of daily deliveries, managing communication between customers, hauliers, and internal teams, and ensuring all systems and records are updated accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work to agreed targets and KPIs
  • Communicate effectively with hauliers and internal teams
  • Liaise with customers when required to manage expectations
  • Monitor late, failed, or rebooked deliveries
  • Update internal systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies relating to claims and returns
  • Proactively resolve order and delivery issues
  • Chase hauliers for delivery confirmations
  • Liaise with multiple departments to gather and share information
  • Manage and respond to customer and operational queries

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in logistics, transport, customer service, or administration (preferred)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when updating systems
  • Confident working with multiple stakeholders (customers, drivers, internal teams)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
