Warehouse Operative / Picker & Packer Location: Normanton, WF6 Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:30am–4:00pm | Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm Job Type: Temporary, initially 2–3 weeks, with the potential for longer-term work for the right candidate Start Date: Immediate start available About the Role Taskmaster Resources Ltd is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Picker & Packer to join our client's team based in Normanton. This is a hands-on warehouse role involving picking and packing customer orders, preparing goods for dispatch, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and ensuring stock is handled safely and efficiently. The assignment will initially run for approximately 2–3 weeks, with the opportunity for longer-term work for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and capable of working independently, using their initiative to ensure daily warehouse operations run smoothly. Key Responsibilities Accurately picking and packing customer orders ready for dispatch. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Operating a forklift to move, load and unload stock. Receiving deliveries, checking goods and organising warehouse stock. Handling large, heavy and awkwardly shaped products. Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting in line with health and safety procedures. Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse. Assisting with stock checks and general inventory management. Reporting damaged goods, stock discrepancies and health and safety concerns. Supporting the wider team with general warehouse duties as required. Essential Requirements A valid forklift operator qualification relevant to the equipment used. Previous warehouse experience, ideally within picking, packing or dispatch. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting. Reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude. Good attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. An understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures. Experience handling bulky products and loading or unloading commercial delivery vehicles would be advantageous. Working Hours Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm. Friday: 7:00am–3:00pm. Occasional Saturday work may be required. What's on Offer? £14.00 per hour. Immediate start available.
