Taskmaster Resources LTD are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative on behalf of our client based in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire (MK44). This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual with a mechanical background to join a busy and fast-paced recycling site.
The Role:
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, carrying out repairs, and supporting general site upkeep to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of site machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise disruption
- Maintain and repair balers and associated recycling equipment
- Conduct general site repairs, including buildings and infrastructure
- Repair and replace fence panels around the site perimeter
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or mechanical role
- Practical experience repairing fencing, panels, or site structures
- Experience working within a recycling, industrial, or similar environment is desirable
- Knowledge of machinery maintenance and fault finding
- Background in automotive, mechanical, or engineering work would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00
Pay: £13.00 per hour
