Press Brake Second Man - Temp to Perm Glasgow G51 £13 per hour Taskmaster West Central Scotland Team has a very rare and exciting opportunity to work within a very prestigious engineering client of ours based in Glasgow (G51) that supplies the construction industry through-out Scotland with quality gauge metal fabrications. The company is happy to train and develop someone who already has good hands-on machine operating experience within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment and is keen to learn press brake operation. We are urgently recruiting and require someone with an engineering background and someone who has previous experience working as a second man to the press brake operator. Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC hydraulic press brake machinery Work from engineering drawings and production information Select appropriate tooling and bending methods Produce accurate folded metal components Check finished components using measuring equipment Make machine adjustments to achieve the required dimensions and quality Carry out basic machine checks Work safely within a busy fabrication environment What we require for our clients Press Brake Second Man position: Previous press brake or brake press operating experience Good machine operating experience gained within a metal, fabrication, engineering or similar manufacturing environment Experience working with industrial production machinery A practical, mechanically minded approach Good attention to detail and an understanding of quality Willingness to learn and develop new skills The ability to work safely as part of a production team Experience reading engineering drawings, working with sheet metal, CNC machinery or using measuring equipment (advantageous, but training can be provided for the right person) What we can offer you within our client: Day shift work - Monday to Thursday 08.00
