Taskmaster Recruitment are looking for a Food Production Line Leader to work in a warehouse and distribution site in Peterborough (PE2).
Main purpose of job: To assist the production shift leader in ensuring the efficient operation of the production lines and production operations. This is a manual position, you will be required to work on the line, help with machinery operation, packing duties and assist with line and machine breakdowns. Supervising production operatives and operating the machines to ensure all required standards and production targets are being maintained. Following the production plan to ensure that product is mixed and packed to deadline, in full, packed to standard. Working within Health and Safety procedures and ensuring the cleaning schedule is adhered to. Willingness to provide cover in the warehouse as needed.
Main duties & expectations:
- Operation of the packing lines in an efficient manner.
- Working on the line, manual role.
- Supervision of production staff ensuring the correct procedures are being followed.
- Ensure production targets are met.
- Ensure all administration/paperwork is completed correctly in a timely manner.
- Carry out QA checks when required.
- Uphold a clean as you go policy amongst the team members.
- Ensure all packed products meet the required specifications.
- Basic set up and machinery problem solving.
- Ensure any issues/non-conformances are communicated to the production manager.
- Warehouse Liaison.
- Working with warehouse to ensure that raw materials are picked and ready for packing in line with production plan.
- Clean downs and health and safety.
- Ensuring production runs within clear health and safety rules at all times.
- Executing clean downs in line with schedules.
