We are currently recruiting for experienced Line Leaders to join a busy and fast-paced packing operation. Opportunities are available across both Day and Night shifts based in Wetherby LS22 on a permanent basis. Due to site location, you must live local to site or have access to your own transport.

Salary:

  • Days: £34,785.33 per annum
  • Nights: £37,172.44 per annum

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts Days and Nights available

The Role:

As a Packing Line Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting your production line team to ensure all operational, safety, quality, and performance targets are achieved. You will play a key role in maintaining standards across production, hygiene, and team performance while ensuring efficient communication across shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely at all times
  • Ensure all line activity for the shift is understood and discussed with the wider team during the 07:00 / 19:00 shift meetings and communicated clearly to your allocated line team
  • Maintain your work area to the required GMP standards
  • Ensure production targets are achieved, including output, changeovers, hygiene, and giveaway targets
  • Carry out specific trained tasks including changeovers and allergen cleans across multiple areas
  • Work closely with the Shift Manager / Supervisor to ensure your team are fully trained and capable
  • Complete effective shift handovers with the oncoming Line Leader and ensure the line is left to the required standard
  • Understand production plans and take proactive steps to ensure successful completion
  • Lead by example at all times

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to support the development of SOPs and train team members effectively
  • Capable of operating all equipment across the production lines
  • Understanding of line targets and how to operate efficiently to achieve them
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
