We are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Fitter / Technician to join a busy workshop team, working on a specialist fleet of drainage and vacuum equipment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance, servicing and repair of HGV drainage vehicles and tractor units
- Work on vacuum tankers and ADR-specification vehicles
- Maintenance and repair of specialist vacuum and tanker systems
- Fault diagnosis and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems
- Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company standards
- Complete workshop paperwork and defect reports accurately
- Participate in overtime or an on-call rota where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Fitter or Technician
- Experience with specialist drainage or vacuum tanker equipment is preferred
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience working on ADR vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred
- Relevant HGV qualification, Commercial Vehicle/IRTEC qualification, or time-served experience
