£1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!
Join us and receive a £1,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two instalments: £500 after completing your first 30 shifts and a further £500 after completing an additional 30 shifts. Terms and conditions apply. Please ask for full details.
Shift Times:
- Day (AM) Starts: 03:00 - 10:00
- Night (PM) Starts: 10:00 - 19:00
During the first 13 weeks, shifts will include weekend working. Permanent positions may become available after this period, operating on a 5 days from 7 rota with weekends off on a rotational basis.
The Role:
- Delivering stock to retail stores across the UK.
- Multi-drop deliveries (AM drivers average around 5 drops per shift).
- Loading and unloading your own vehicle using a manual pump truck.
- Handling palletised goods and garment rails; this is a physically demanding role.
- Collecting returns from stores and returning stock to the distribution centre.
- Moving trailers between runs, with PM drivers also carrying out shunting duties.
- Driving a modern fleet of Volvo FM vehicles with mirror camera technology, including standard trailers, urban trailers, double-deck trailers and occasional rigid vehicles.
- Routes cover areas including Birmingham, Kidderminster, North Wales, the Lake District and surrounding regions.
Full Training Provided:
- Paid two-day site induction.
- Up to five buddy shifts with an experienced driver.
- Full training on handheld scanning/POD devices.
- Ongoing support throughout your assignment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months' continuous Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Safety Boots and Hi-Visibility Vest.
- A professional attitude with a willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
