Pay rate: £20.00 per hour

Monday to Friday: 9 hours guaranteed

Weekend shifts: 12 hours guaranteed

Breaks: No break deduction over the weekend

We are recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a well-established retail logistics operation based in Doncaster (DN2). Multiple vacancies available on a temp-to-perm basis.

You will be working with a modern and flexible fleet (up to 44T artics), supporting the delivery of shop fitting equipment such as units and refrigerated shelving, including multi-drop and out-of-hours deliveries.

Pay rates:

  • Nights: £20.00/hr
  • Sunday: £20.00/hr
  • Weekend breaks are paid (not deducted).
  • Monday to Friday: 9 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend shifts: 12 hours guaranteed over weekend

Shift pattern:

  • Sunday to Thursday
  • Nights available
  • Some runs may include nights out/tramping depending on route requirements.
  • If night out, you will need to start as early as 13:00

The role (key duties):

  • Drive and operate HGV vehicles safely and professionally to complete deliveries nationwide
  • Carry out pre-use and post-use vehicle checks and keep the vehicle roadworthy
  • Ensure loads are secure and complete deliveries safely and on time
  • Complete paperwork / PODs accurately
  • Communicate effectively with transport, site teams and delivery points
  • Adhere to all tachograph rules and Working Time Directive requirements
  • Loading/unloading will be required (Moffett/vehicle-mounted forklift experience is beneficial, if not, training can be provided)

Requirements:

  • Valid Category Class 1 licence
  • Minimum of 1 year of class 1 experience
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN endorsements)
  • Professional and polite manner at all times
