Taskmaster are currently looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Branston, Burton-On-Trent (DE14) to start immediately.

Hours: Working a 48 hour week, any 5 out of 7 days.

Pay rate: £14.95ph

Job Description:

  • Carry out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.
  • Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and ensure safety.
  • Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.
  • Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print.
  • Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times.
  • Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.
  • Attend essential training when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the cab.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensing: Hold an in-date, valid Class 2 licence, CPC Licence and Digi Card.
  • Good driving record: Have no more than 3 points on your licence.
  • Professional Presentation: Maintain a smart appearance and bring excellent customer service skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility and Punctuality: Show flexibility in shifts and duties with reliable timekeeping.
  • Experience behind the wheel: Previous retail or commercial driving experience is preferred, and multi-drop experience is an advantage.
  • Physical Capability: Heavy lifting is required daily; you'll handle bulky items as part of a two-person team.
