DAY SHIFT HGV Mechanic / Technician in Birkenhead

HGV Fitter / Technician £18 per Hour**Location: CH42 1LU**Hours: 7:00am5:00pm | 50 hours per week We are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Fitter / Technician to join a busy workshop team, working on a specialist fleet of drainage and vacuum equipment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance, servicing and repair of HGV drainage vehicles and tractor units Work on vacuum tankers and ADR-specification vehicles Maintenance and repair of specialist vacuum and tanker systems Fault diagnosis and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and company standards Complete workshop paperwork and defect reports accurately Participate in overtime or an on-call rota where required Requirements Proven experience as an HGV Fitter or Technician Experience with specialist drainage or vacuum tanker equipment is preferred Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience working on ADR vehicles Ability to work independently and as part of a team Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred Relevant HGV qualification, Commercial Vehicle/IRTEC qualification, or time-served experience What We Offer £18.00 per hour 50 hours per week Regular overtime opportunities Full-time, permanent employment On-site workshop facilities Company pension Stable, long-term employment Opportunity to work on specialist HGV and vacuum equipment Apply Now If you are an experienced HGV Fitter / Technician looking for a stable, long-term position with good earning potential, we would like to hear from you.
