We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous UK transport planning experience who enjoys problem-solving, thinking on their feet and keeping deliveries running smoothly.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and coordinating approximately 13-15 daily vehicle routes across the UK.
  • Optimising routes to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Liaising with warehouse, customer service and sales teams.
  • Working closely with third-party transport providers and couriers.
  • Responding to changes throughout the day, including urgent orders and delivery issues.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the transport department.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Transport Planner within a busy logistics or distribution environment.
  • Experience planning nationwide UK multi-drop routes.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  • Experience within next-day distribution.
  • Knowledge of pallet networks and third-party courier operations.
