Jensten is entering an exciting new chapter following the investment from Bain Capital, accelerating our growth ambitions and strengthening our position as one of the UK’s leading independent insurance intermediary groups. As we scale, we remain committed to our people, our clients, and our culture — with HR playing a pivotal role in shaping what comes next.

We’re now looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our HR Senior Leadership Team and report into the Chief People Officer. You’ll lead strategic people initiatives, partner closely with senior leaders, and help build a high‑performance, values‑driven culture across a dynamic and fast‑growing business.

As Senior HR Business Partner, you will design and implement a People Plan aligned to business priorities and the Group HR strategy. You’ll coach leaders, build capability, and support organisational development across your business area. You will work from our London office two days per week, with travel to other UK offices to stay close to your stakeholders. You will also line‑manage an HR Business Partner.

This is a high‑impact role offering real breadth, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape the people agenda during a period of positive transformation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a People Plan that supports business goals and strengthens culture.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, acting as a strategic adviser.
  • Lead organisational design and development activity, including restructures and post‑acquisition integration (M&A).
  • Use HR data and KPIs to diagnose issues and shape targeted people initiatives.
  • Coach leaders to drive high performance, strengthen capability and manage change effectively.
  • Develop engagement plans that support colleague experience and retention.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for employee relations, organisational change, absence and performance matters.
  • Identify capability gaps and support talent development and succession planning.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects and group‑wide change programmes.
  • Line‑manage, develop and support an HR Business Partner.
About You

You’re an experienced HR Business Partner who can influence senior leaders, build strong relationships and shape strategic people initiatives. You’re skilled in organisational development, change and employee relations, and you use data to make informed decisions. You balance strategic insight with hands‑on delivery and thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Most importantly, you role‑model our Jensten values — Caring, Curious, Skilled and Bold — and bring a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach to your work.

You’ll be or have:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR Business Partnering role.
  • Strong background in organisational development and change management.
  • Significant experience in employee relations and risk management.
  • Ability to use HR metrics and data to shape strategy and measure success.
  • Experience supporting or leading M&A and integration activity (desirable).
  • Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to innovate, challenge constructively and influence at senior levels.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to travel to Jensten offices across the UK when required.
Rewards & Benefits

When you join us, you can expect a supportive culture and an attractive range of rewards and benefits which include:

  • Competitive salary with an annual pay review, and company bonus scheme.
  • 27 days annual leave (includes a day off for your birthday and another for a religious holiday of your choice) + bank holidays.
  • Auto enrolment into our excellent pension scheme.
  • Flex-benefits - A range of flexible benefits to choose from, that are most important to you.
  • Group Life Assurance cover.
  • 3 months Maternity, Paternity & Adoption leave all fully paid.
  • Professional qualification study support relevant to your role and career.
  • Perks at work - amazing discounts on cinema tickets, meals out, luxury items etc.
  • Holiday purchase scheme - up to 5 days annually.
About Us

Jensten is one of the UK’s leading insurance intermediary groups, known for putting clients and people first. Since launching in 2018, we’ve built a standout business in a crowded marketplace — combining scale, deep technical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit. Operating through six specialist divisions — Network Broking, Regional Broking, Schemes Broking, Specialist Lines, London Market Broking and Underwriting — we deliver tailored insurance solutions directly to clients and through a network of trusted third‑party broking partners.

Thanks to strong organic growth and a strategic acquisition programme, Jensten is now a Top 10 Independent Broker, placing more than £650 million GWP into the market. We employ around 1,000 colleagues across 35 locations and support 85 entrepreneurial franchise holders nationwide.

Our purpose — “Protecting today, empowering tomorrow” — reflects the role we play for our clients, our communities and each other. Our people bring this to life every day through our values: Caring, Curious, Skilled and Bold. We sit in a unique space between large consolidators and local brokers — big enough to offer capability and influence, yet agile enough to maintain the culture, autonomy and client focus of a truly independent business.
