The role
We’re now looking for a motivated Sales Development Specialist to join us at the Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our High Wycombe office, and we offer hybrid working options once settled into the role.
Reporting to an Account Director and working closely with our Account Exec’s, the main purpose of the role is to proactively identify, research, and engage with Commercial Insurance prospects, supporting the growth of the business through high-quality lead generation- which our Exec’s will hopefully convert. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:
- Drive targeted generation of new business leads.
- Conduct outbound calls to prospects, qualifying leads and booking appointments for Account Executives (AE’s).
- Collaborate closely with AEs and attend regular sales and pipeline meetings to align priorities and share insights.
- Use CRM (Acturis) to record all prospecting activity and maintain accurate opportunity data.
- Monitor and report on call activity.
- Encourage and support all staff in identifying potential leads for follow-up, subsequently researching and obtaining renewal dates and adding to the pipeline
- Maintain and update opportunity pipeline in offices to track prospecting progress and team contributions.
- Deliver weekly reports on lead generation activity, including: number of calls made, leads generated, appointments booked, and conversion rates
- To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA
About you
As our Sales Development Specialist, you’ll have excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. You will be the type of person who wants to constantly develop, and you can expect fantastic career progression, training & development within the role and Insurance Industry in general. You will also be or have:
- Insurance background preferred (Commercial ideally)
- Previous experience in a sales/ new business generation type role (essential)
- Great customer service & sales skills
- Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance
- Able to use initiative and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin
