Shape the people agenda behind Jensten’s next phase of growth. Jensten Group is looking for a commercially minded People Director to partner with senior leaders across Products, Distribution and Central Functions, helping shape and deliver a people agenda that supports commercial growth, organisational effectiveness and long-term business performance.

This is a senior business partnering role, working closely with the CEO and Exco leadership teams across Products and Distribution, as well as C-suite leaders across Central Functions. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a small team of People Business Partners and play a key role in translating business priorities into practical, high-impact people plans.

The role

As People Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the people plan for Products, Distribution and Central Functions, ensuring it responds to key people challenges, supports business goals and aligns with the wider Group people strategy. You will build trusted relationships with senior leaders, bringing a strong understanding of the business, sector and commercial priorities to shape and influence people decisions. This will include leading organisational design work, supporting structure reviews, succession planning and partnering with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning to ensure the organisation is set up to deliver its commercial goals.

A key part of the role will be coaching and enabling leaders to strengthen leadership capability, motivate teams and build a high-performance culture. You will bring commercial insight and a growth mindset to people decisions, connecting workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and business performance. You will also represent Products, Distribution and Central Functions at the Group people leadership table, bringing functional insight into the development of the group-level people strategy.

Use people metrics, including absence, turnover and employee relations data, to shape and prioritise people initiatives. Identify skills gaps and development needs, delivering business-focused solutions across talent management, succession planning and capability development.

About you

You will be an experienced senior People leader with a strong track record of business partnering at executive or senior leadership level. You will be confident operating in a commercially focused environment, able to influence senior stakeholders and translate business priorities into clear people plans. You will bring advanced capability in building relationships, communication, change delivery and problem solving, alongside strong functional expertise in organisational design, leadership coaching, commercial insight, business partnering, team leadership, employee engagement and employee relations. Experience or understanding of the insurance marketplace would be advantageous, alongside the ability to work with pace, pragmatism and commercial judgement in a growing organisation.

Why join Jensten?

This is an opportunity to play a visible and influential role in shaping the people agenda across key areas of Jensten Group. You will work closely with senior leaders, contribute to group-level people strategy and help build the leadership, structure and capability needed to support ongoing growth and organisational effectiveness. If you are a commercially focused People leader who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, leading organisational change and building high-performing teams, we would love to hear from you.
