Are you an experienced Property Underwriter looking to join a growing, forward-thinking MGA? Jensten Underwriting is seeking a New Business Underwriter to join our Property Owners team reporting into the Huntingdon Office on a Hybrid working arrangement. Supported by Angela Roper, this role offers the opportunity to underwrite a broad range of Property Owners, Household and Terrorism risks while building strong broker relationships and contributing to profitable business growth.
What you'll be doing:
- Underwriting new Property Owners, Household and Terrorism business within delegated authority.
- Assessing, negotiating and pricing risks to achieve profitable growth.
- Building and developing strong relationships with brokers and Coversure Franchisees.
- Delivering a responsive, professional service while maximising new business conversion.
- Ensuring underwriting decisions meet FCA, Consumer Duty and company standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Trading, Distribution, Operations and Product teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
What we're looking for:
- Previous underwriting experience within Property insurance.
- Strong knowledge of Property Owners, Household or Commercial Property risks.
- Excellent risk assessment, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
- A commercial mindset with a customer and broker‑focused approach.
- Good understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship‑building skills.
