Martin Insurance Services (part of the Jensten Group) is on the lookout for a Senior Commercial Account Handler to join our supportive and expert team in Rochester. While Jensten has recently celebrated reaching the exciting milestone of 1,000 employees, our Rochester office offers the best of both worlds – a close‑knit, collaborative team of just four people where your contribution truly makes an impact. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with valued clients, providing expert support across a broad range of Commercial insurance products to organisations spanning a variety of sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Providing professional and technical support to the Branch Director
  • Managing day‑to‑day client enquiries, responding promptly and delivering a high level of service
  • Obtaining new business quotations, arranging cover, and checking policy documentation for accuracy before issuing to clients or liaising with insurers
  • Processing mid‑term adjustments and quarterly declarations efficiently and accurately
  • Negotiating renewals and inviting terms for allocated client portfolios
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date client records, ensuring all risks on cover reflect correct sums insured, perils, excesses, extensions, and exclusions
  • Liaising with insurers on claims queries and updates

About You

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will bring strong commercial insurance knowledge and a proven track record of delivering excellent client service. You will have strong diary management skills, be able to plan and organise effectively and work to deadlines. Being a team player is also essential as you will work closely with the Branch Director and other team members to service a range of policies.

Other Skills / Requirements

  • CII Qualifications, or desire to work towards these (not essential)
  • Experience using Acturis (advantageous)
