The role
We’re now looking for a motivated and driven New Business Executive here at the Jensten Group, to help deliver fantastic results for our existing and potential new clients. Based from our Watnall office (with hybrid working options once settled into the role), you’ll help with (Commercial) New Business generation, whether it’s with existing clients (cross selling, new policies etc.) or prospecting for new clients/ following up on leads. This is an exciting time to join our business and the successful candidate can expect excellent career progression, training & development within the role and Insurance Industry in general.
Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:
- Working within the New Business team with the aim of maximising sales.
- Collaborating with Account Executives and Account Managers to help them unlock cross sales and referral opportunities.
- Responsible for delivering great customer service and administering insurance policies.
- Responsible for hitting and exceeding realistic targets.
- Ensure that all work is FCA compliant and provide the highest of Customer Service to our potential and existing clients.
- Strong customer service skills, communicating clearly and building relationships.
- Working in a fast paced and target driven environment.
About you
As one of our New Business Executives, you’ll be a natural at building relationships with our clients, as well as having a natural sales flair. You’ll be given full training & support and the opportunity to go on and gain relevant qualifications such as Cert CII to become a qualified Insurance professional. There’s also the chance to earn good commissions with all new business written - which is uncapped!
You’ll also be or have:
- Ideally from an Insurance industry background (Commercial preferred).
- Strong sales background and a proven track record in achieving sales results.
- Great customer service and communication skills, and resilience.
- Excellent telephone manner that helps you direct conversations, negotiate and close deals.
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance and sales.
- Worked in a similar role previously (telephone or face-2-face sales experience in a retail business).
- Good attention to detail and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and carrying out tasks whilst speaking to your customers.
