Task Talent Recruitment Ltd (Company No. 15839695) is a UK recruitment agency supplying permanent, contract and temporary staff across multiple sectors. As we expand our business development function, we’re looking for self‑employed appointment setters and BDRs to help us open new client relationships throughout the UK.
The Role
This is a remote, commission‑only contractor position suited to someone with proven telesales, appointment‑setting or B2B business development experience. You choose how, when and where you work — and your earnings scale directly with your results.
Your core responsibility is to identify potential client companies, reach out via phone, email or LinkedIn, and book qualified appointments for our recruitment team. For those with recruitment sales experience who prefer to manage the full client relationship, there is a clear progression route to Set‑and‑Close, where you handle the process through to a completed placement and earn a higher commission rate.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Researching and identifying target companies using approved data sources

Contacting decision‑makers via phone, email and LinkedIn

Qualifying leads and booking appointments for our recruitment team

(Set‑and‑Close track) Managing the client relationship through to a completed placement

Recording activity accurately in our CRM
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in telesales, appointment setting, business development or B2B sales

Recruitment sales experience is a strong advantage.

Confident, professional phone manner and strong written communication

Self‑motivation and the ability to manage your own pipeline as a contractor

UK‑based, with an understanding of CTPS/PECR compliance or willingness to learn

Compensation: On‑Target Earnings (OTE)
As a self‑employed, commission‑only contractor, your income is based on performance rather than a fixed salary. To give you a realistic starting point:
Scenario (Illustrative)
Appointment Setting Only (30%) 1 placement/month at National Living Wage full‑time salary (£26,436.80/yr), 12% fee band → ~£951/month
Set‑and‑Close (50%) Same placement volume and salary → ~£1,586/month
These examples use our lowest fee band and a single placement per month — a realistic early‑stage expectation rather than a best‑case scenario. Commission is uncapped: higher‑salary roles, multiple placements, or progression to Set‑and‑Close will increase earnings. We’re happy to discuss realistic upside during interview.
