Material & Production planner to oversee and coordinate daily/Weekly production plan, volume/Capacity Forecasting and Raw material Supply to support these plans. This role prevents delays to our customers by ensuring the right materials are available at the right time for the production line, a clear forward production replenishment plan to maintain stock levels, optimizing costs and meeting well established delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling : Creating and managing detailed timelines for manufacturing tasks to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines .
Material Management: Forecasting and scheduling the inbound flow of raw materials and components from suppliers to maintain stock levels without overstocking or impacting production.
Coordination: Liaising with internal teams (procurement, production, customer service, logistics, Engineering) and external suppliers to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
Forecasting: Maintaining accurate forecasts and communicating demand changes and impact to capacity plan.
Inventory Control: Monitoring stock, co-ordinating PI counts ensuring high system stock accuracy for FG & RM.
System Maintenance: MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems—such as SAP—to track inventory, process purchase orders, and monitor workflow.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing solutions to improve flow and efficiency.
Key Skills and Requirements
The ability to evaluate complex datasets to determine metrics for performance and identify ways to optimize production.
Proactively addressing disruptions like machine failures, labour shortages, or supplier delays.
