Responsibilities
- Safety
- Follow Company safety policy, rules and procedures on all operational tasks.
- Identify and report health or safety hazards & dangerous situations.
- Take part in regular inspections/audits for good housekeeping and machine safety.
- Quality
- Follow quality procedures, specifications and standards to achieve the product quality required for customers.
- Help identify and ensure that quality critical control points are being maintained regularly.
- Record all quality data as required and any non-conformance.
- Take immediate actions (adjustment) to rectify issues that have a negative impact on quality, report to supervisor or team leader.
- Ensure zero quality defects by analysing and eliminating all defects in conjunction with the supervisors and engineers.
- Operation/Daily tasks
- Responsible for performing set up, operate, monitor and perform changeovers on assigned machines.
- Ensure feed the machines with the right materials, good quality and quantity.
- Ensure that machines are running at the correct speed/settings.
- Ensure that equipment is generating minimum waste/give away.
- Maximise the re‑use of rework during own shift.
- Carry out cleaning, inspections, lubrication on assigned machines.
- Support engineers on the breakdown.
- Train new team members in how to operate the machines following safety, quality and operational standards.
- Cover breaks on assigned machines.
- Fill in production, quality and cleaning records.
- Escalate issues to supervisor.
- Perform good communication when handing over the shift.
- Report any damages and safety issues on the machines to the Production Supervisor.
- To perform any other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor or any Senior Manager within their set skills.
- Cleaning and Housekeeping/Daily tasks
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping activities following work instructions and daily routines (Site standards and procedures).
- Keep area tidy and organise as the shift goes.
Shift Patterns
Looking for 12h shifts covering day or nights – 06:00‑18:00 or 18:00‑06:00 shifts. 48 hour working week, including weekends on the rota basis. The site is operating 24/7. Overtime available.
