Overview
Task Consumer Products is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily dispatch and logistics operations to ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient movement of goods and services. This role includes managing and training dispatch staff, monitoring workflows and quality, liaising with internal teams and external 3PL, maintaining safety standards, and resolving issues to meet delivery targets and customer expectations. This is a 4 Day on, 4 Day off shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate dispatch teams, including hiring, performance appraisals, and addressing employee concerns.
- Supervise daily dispatch and picking activities, ensuring orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time.
- Monitor and improve dispatch and logistics processes, implementing quality control measures and identifying root causes of errors to ensure \”Right First Time\” delivery.
- Liaise with various departments (e.g., production, sales) and external partners (e.g., freight suppliers, shipping agents) to coordinate collections and meet customer deadlines.
- Manage FG inventory levels and provide accurate PI counts, maintain PI schedule.
- Ensure all goods are inspected for quality and accuracy before dispatch and maintain high standards of health and safety compliance.
- Oversee the accurate completion of all shipping documentation, including labels and scanning process.
- Support wider team with customer concerns/returns related to deliveries.
