oversee the operators to ensure smooth running of the dispatch operation in a Lean / Continuous Improvement environment. Maximize efficiencies and focus on health & safety. You will monitor, communicate and manage the dispatch team during your shifts. DEPARTMENT:

DISPATCH SUPERVISOR (NIGHTS) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Liaise with operational teams and to ensure that the required standards for operational processes and health & safety are maintained: MHE Pre-Op checks completed PPE checks Check all staff present and move resource around operation to manage workload Monitor the operatives in your area, to ensure the breaks time and length is respected Cover breaks when required, so the lines are kept running smoothly during your shift Verify that all the required Dispatch paperwork has been completed to the required standard.Shunts completed & all pallets scanned etc. Communicate any equipment issues to the managers immediately, to cut down the downtime. Picking & Loading using MHE Hands on duties as and when required o
Liaise with various departments (e.g., production, sales, H&S) and external partners (e.g., freight suppliers, shipping agents) to coordinate collections and meet Customer deadlines. o
Work towards operational KPIs & customer OTIF. o
Manage FG inventory levels and provide accurate stock counts, maintain PI schedule as per supervisor instruction o
Implement corrective actions when required and follow them up to ensure that are fully implemented Undertake any other reasonable requests from your line manager o
Maintain work areas in accordance with company standards of hygiene KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
: Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal Confidence in approach with the ability to challenge Basic knowledge of warehouse practices Ideally FLT Counter-balance license & experience Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work Computer literate, some SAP usage H&S minded Holiday cover for Night Dispatch Supervisor Auditing Awareness

Able to work on their own initiative and as part of the team. Have good organizational and prioritizing skills to work to the required timescales. Willingness to work from multiple sites. Understand the importance of Health and Safety and Hygiene. Willingness to undergo training as and when required to increase their skills level.
