You'll join a fast-paced, growing and employee-owned business, working alongside experienced procurement professionals and supporting a wide range of clients and suppliers. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, building relationships and working in a varied role where no two days are quite the same.

About Constellia

Constellia is a leading procurement organisation, supporting public and private sector clients with their purchasing and sourcing requirements across goods, works, services and technology. As a growing, employee-owned business, we're passionate about developing our people, encouraging fresh ideas and creating opportunities for career progression. Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we're looking for individuals who want to grow with us.

The Role

Working within our Operational Procurement team, you'll support the delivery of procurement activities, helping clients source the goods and services they need while ensuring processes are managed efficiently and professionally. You'll be involved in a variety of procurement and supplier-related activities, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience and develop your commercial knowledge. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting clients with their procurement and sourcing requirements across a range of categories.
  • Assisting with end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Researching and identifying suitable suppliers and service providers.
  • Communicating directly with clients and suppliers, responding to queries and providing updates.
  • Supporting supplier onboarding and ensuring relevant documentation is completed.
  • Assisting with spend analysis, reporting and management information.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Managing shared inboxes and responding to service enquiries.
  • Supporting supplier and client meetings and engagement activities.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure procurement activities are delivered effectively.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

About You

We're looking for someone who already has some experience in a procurement, purchasing, supply chain or related administrative role and is ready to take on more responsibility. You'll be confident communicating with clients and suppliers, comfortable managing multiple tasks and keen to continue developing your procurement knowledge. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar commercial support environment.
  • A basic understanding of procurement processes and supplier relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Confidence working with data, documentation and internal systems.
  • A professional, personable and customer-focused approach.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and take ownership of your work.

Experience supporting sourcing activities, supplier onboarding, purchase orders or procurement administration would be particularly beneficial. You don't need to be a procurement expert, but you should have a good foundation of relevant experience and be enthusiastic about progressing your career.

What's on Offer?

  • Hybrid working – 3 days in our Nottingham office and 2 days from home.
  • 35 hour working week. Bupa Healthcare. YuLife wellbeing platform. Opportunity to buy extra holiday.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of procurement categories, clients and suppliers.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Opportunity to work towards further procurement qualifications, including CIPS where appropriate.
  • Genuine career progression opportunities within a growing business.
  • The chance to be part of an employee-owned organisation where your contribution really matters.

Working Arrangements

The role is based at our Nottingham office, with hybrid working available. During the initial training and onboarding period, additional office attendance will be required to help you settle into the team and develop your understanding of the business.
