The Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join and expand our manufacturing team. We welcome applications from people with experience working with CNC lathes, CNC mills, or both. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC machines
  • Producing precision components to tight tolerances
  • Working across low-volume, high-variety production
  • Editing and setting CNC programs
  • Selecting and setting appropriate tooling and offsets
  • Inspecting components using standard inspection equipment
  • Maintaining CNC machines
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Following company safety, quality and manufacturing procedures

Experience

The experience we are looking for will depend on whether your background is primarily in turning, milling, or both.

CNC Lathe

  • For applicants specialising in turning:
  • Previous experience working with CNC lathes is essential
  • Good general CNC machining experience
  • FANUC control experience is essential

CNC Milling

  • For applicants specialising in milling:
  • Previous experience working with CNC mills is essential
  • Good general CNC machining experience
  • Heidenhain and/or Siemens control experience is desirable
  • Experience with HAAS controls will also be considered

  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • General workshop familiarity
