Smart, ambitious, strategic thinking NAM with a track record of driving significant account growth, required for this exciting role with a global player in the OTC consumer healthcare market. Experience in consumer healthcare or personal care is desirable but not essential.

We’re looking for a smart, ambitious, strategic thinking NAM with a track record of driving significant account growth for this exciting and busy role.

Working closely with a major grocery account, you’ll be responsible for driving growth for a portfolio of brands; building an effective customer partnership, and working cross-functionally in the business to develop and execute innovative and mutually rewarding joint business plans & activities.

Working alongside a high calibre team, you’ll bring commercial savvy and drive to the role, developing a strong internal and external network that will ensure you deliver category and brand growth, negotiating win-win terms that achieve and exceed targets. This is a demanding role with a real opportunity to make a significant impact upon a business with huge ambitions to expand its global footprint and make a difference to consumers across the world.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Developing Major Account Joint Business Plans in line with Consumer Health brand and overall Strategy - Distribution, display, share of shelf % and in-store promotional plans and activation.
  • Tactically implementing Channel Strategy, delivering and monitoring, monthly, vs. delivery of all financial business targets – Sales, Profit, Trade Spend.
  • Managing promotional spend and activity in line with annual/quarterly budgets, profit contribution.
  • Proactively communicating business opportunities / risks with solutions to deliver, in time.
  • Producing accurate volume and value forecasts.
  • Negotiating price increases within agreed parameters.
  • Maintaining details of competitor activity; weekly retail price checks and communicating all potential interface issues/new news quickly.
  • Building strong working relationships with all key contacts across channel & specific lead account.
  • Providing input into project work where appropriate.
  • Building joint scorecards and growth pyramids to support continual joint development.
  • Establishing and implementing an active contract strategy across the lead account ensuring that all contacts both internally and externally are aligned to the brand & category strategy and JBP objectives.
  • Willingness to proactively take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Adapting to changing circumstances in a timely, effective manner.
  • Using high level category, shopper and market data to develop a story and better sell to your customer.
Skills & Experience Checklist
  • With experience gained in one or more FMCG or consumer healthcare companies, you’ll have a strong track record of success in a commercially-driven and fast-paced sales environment.
  • This is a role for someone who is looking for a new challenge with an opportunity to bring their skills and flair to a highly-visible role.
  • Previous experience in an account management role, working with major grocery or multiple chemist/drugstore accounts.
  • Experience of building and agreeing Joint Business Plans.
  • Advanced understanding of the total business mix – Brand and Trade marketing; brand awareness, supply chain; financial management.
  • Strategic thinker with comprehensive category & retail knowledge.
  • Comprehensive category & retail knowledge with the ability to utilise consumer, shopper and market insight data to build commercial arguments.
  • A strong track record of achieving targets and delivering against key business measures.
  • Excellent verbal & written presentation, communication, selling and negotiation skills.
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within wider sales team and across all cross functional departments.
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and effect change at different levels.
  • Proactively speaks out, provides feedback and appropriately challenges.
