If you’re a ‘foodie’, passionate about new tastes and maybe baking and cooking too, this is a super opportunity for a seasoned Marketing Manager or maybe ambitious SBM. Our client is a major FMCG business with a portfolio of much-loved food brands and ingredients with incredible heritage and ambitious plans for the future.

We’re looking for a talented, driven and commercially astute marketeer to lead the strategy and day-to-day management of a large multi-SKU brand with huge household penetration - managing integrated comms and digital initiatives, EPD, NPD, positioning and packaging projects and category and commercial initiatives. This is great opportunity to gain real autonomy and hands-on responsibility, working on a brand, found in many kitchen cupboards across the UK, offering real breadth of pure brand building, commercial thinking and hands-on action!

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development and execution of marketing comms, working closely with agency partners to create effective media plans, drive engagement, and optimise brand performance.
  • Delivering a range of strategic and tactical projects across the brand portfolio, working cross-functionally to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, including product renovation, packaging changes and range extensions.
  • Partnering with the Sales and Category teams to develop compelling customer and shopper strategies and preparing/delivering sell-in presentations to increase brand presence, distribution and support.
  • Monitor, analyse, and react to market and competitor changes, including pricing & promotions, to define the optimal commercial strategy.
  • Managing brand P&Ls and influencing other functions to drive profitability improvements.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A track record of success leading brands in a fast-paced, commercially-driven FMCG environment, driving brand growth and new initiatives.
  • Expertise in core marketing disciplines, including brand strategy, insight generation, comms development, brand innovation, and commercial leadership and P&L management.
  • Strong data analysis skills and financial acumen, using multiple sources to generate actionable insights and identify key market, consumer and category trends and issues.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with commercial teams and major retail customers to support growth initiatives and respond to their needs.
  • Credible and capable influencer with the ability to simplify complexity and develop inspiring narratives and business recommendations.
