An award-winning, top AJ100 practice has a vacancy for a Senior Urban Designer in their prestigious London studio. The practice operates in the residential and residential-led mixed-use sector, designing and delivering projects in urban and suburban settings as well as creating new neighbourhoods and settlements. This is both at the outline planning and detailed design stages. You will be leading on a number of high-profile visioning and masterplanning projects for urban extensions, large-scale new neighbourhoods and garden villages in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on high-profile visioning and masterplanning projects for urban extensions, large-scale new neighbourhoods and garden villages in the UK, from vision development through masterplanning to design coding, regulatory plans and proving layouts.
- Lead a design team and be involved in community engagement to deliver sustainable, biodiversity-focused design solutions.
Qualifications:
- Significant high-quality urban design experience with a substantial portfolio in large-scale residential projects.
- Experience taking projects through vision development, masterplanning, design coding, regulatory plans and proving layouts.
- Strong focus on sustainability and biodiversity in design.
- Senior-level capability to lead a team and engage with stakeholders and communities.
