We are looking for a Technical and Quality Manager - Maternity Cover to join our friendly team at Linford based in Stanford-le-Hope by Essex. Main Responsibilities
In the role of Technical and Quality Manager - Maternity Cover, you will be the recognised expert covering all aspects of quality and technical performance at Linford. Working collaboratively with both sites, you will ensure that quality standards and product technical performance are maintained. As a member of the Engineering and Projects Team, your behaviour will set the example to others in the achievement of Zero Harm and OEE targets. The role includes overseeing the site quality management system, ensuring that production processes meet quality, safety, and environmental standards. This role combines technical expertise in material science with quality assurance management to ensure the final product meets industry standards and customer specifications.
Day to day duties include:
- Attending management meetings addressing any quality concerns and matters.
- Clearly communicating data analysis results.
- Working closely with other departments (production, engineering, yard) to maintain a high level of standard and compliance.
- Overseeing laboratory testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Managing non-conformity reporting, audits, and customer complaints.
- Supervising and supporting a small team of laboratory technicians.
The Ideal Candidate
In the role of Technical and Quality Manager, you will have experience of:
- Ideally having experience within a similar role; Process Manager / Continuous Improvement Manager / Process Improvement at Supervisor or Manager level.
- Aggregate industry knowledge (desirable).
- SAP software experience.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment is essential (Food Manufacturing, Chemical Process, Packaging, Automotive etc).
- Knowledgeable in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing with a broad understanding of complex manufacturing processes.
